A great horned devil squats on a stone pedestal in the dark, an inverted pentagram on his brow, one hand raised, the other holding a torch pointed downward. Before the pedestal stand a man and a woman in chains—look closely, and the chains hang so loose they could be lifted off at any moment. Small horns and tails have grown on the pair, as if captivity slowly shaped them into captives. The card's deepest message hides in those chains: what binds you is mostly your own unwillingness to let go.
